There's no better place in the whole park to get a full view of Death Valley than Dante's View. It doesn't take too long to get up there from Furnace Creek, even though you're going from below sea level to almost 5,500 feet. The view is immediate as you're driving through the parking lot looking for a spot. All of a sudden you have a grand view of absolutely everything. As you can see in some of the pictures, there is an awesome view of Badwater (which is pretty much directly below you), of Telescope Peak and the Panamint Mountains, Furnace Creek way off in the distance, and the entire valley itself.  Dante's View is also the starting point for hikes to Dante's Peak, Upper Bad Canyon, and Mount Perry.

This sign gives you the elevation as you get out of your vehicle and look out in awe at the majestic scenery:
This photo shows the parking lot, other interpretive signs which are provided by the park service, and the general coldness and wind in the area (as can be seen with Tiffany who has wrapped herself up to keep warm):

In this somewhat strange-looking view, we are viewing Badwater directly below us.  You can see the road, as well as the white salt path which leads out from the parking lot at Badwater:
A picture that I took on a different visit to Dante's View, when the sunlight was reflecting beautifully off of the salt flats:
Off in the distance, Furnace Creek and the northern part of Death Valley is visible:
